Pinions with the burrs ground from the ends of the teeth in prep for building up the teeth. Rust and bronze mashed into the horns has also been removed so that welding up for remanufacturing can begin. Center hole locations have also been laid out and punched. Center holes will be drilled in the lathe so that the unit can be mounted "between centers" for horn turning. Photo by Bill Liebman.
